Client Spotlight: Sue M.
Sue came to Pacific Opportunities with a deep passion for crafting and sewing, but she was also quite shy and introverted, preferring to stay out of the spotlight in social and workplace scenarios. Knowing we would be working with this kind of preference and with her quieter personality, our Job Developer reached out to a local textile manufacturer to connect on a potential suitable role for Sue. Our team and the employer then carved out a specialized, part-time warehouse position where we thought Sue would fit well — and it happened to be right in the heart of the sewing department!
Continuing a Good Fit
Sue absolutely loves her job cleaning and organizing the warehouse in support of the whole sewing department. In fact, Sue’s role has filled a business need the facility managers didn’t even realize they had. Her work now allows their full-time employees to stay completely focused on production and offers them fewer interruptions in their own workflow while Sue keeps the department area tidy and primed for production. The managers have been thrilled with the increase in productivity that Sue’s role facilitates, and she continues to be happy contributing her own work to an industry she loves.
